Lauren Moffatt Fall 2011

Lauren Moffatt came out with her Fall 2011 line.  Head-to-toe Lauren Moffatt is a bit precious and I have to say I cant really see anything too game-changing in this collection, but I'm always drawn to the construction and color contrast of her pieces, particularly her coats and capes.  This look below-- with the leather panel detailing --is pretty adorable too...

I just read a  feature that the New York Times published about fashion designers and what their mothers wore.  It's alway fascinating to get the inside scoop on how stylists and designers get inspired, especially what strikes their fashion fancy at an early age.   To this day,  I still find new items rummaging through my mother's jewelry boxes and storage bins  in the attic.  Check out the the slideshow!
