Beer Showers

It's a commonly known fact that getting a buzz BEFORE the soiree, instead of AT the soiree is waaaay more fun. And what's the best way to get that buzz?! A BEER SHOWER, of course! Not your style? Grange Furniture

I kind of love this tufted, brocade patterned sofa I spotted at ABC Carpet and Home. It's marked down from $5k to $1.9k, but it's a bit too big, plush and curvy for the scale of my new pad. The French furniture line carries both period reproductions and more modern, streamlined pieces that are beautiful, yet pricey. The browse though the showroom floor, at the very least, generates some decor ideas...

Tyson and Star Trek

Tyson and Star Trek are the two best newly released films that I would recommend checking out if you're heading to the movies. They couldn't be more different, and yet strangely the same. Tyson is a serious character portrayal in the form of a riveting sports documentary. Star Trek, a made-for-the-masses popcorn flick from one of Hollywood's most successful sci-fi franchises. Both are action packed, deal with the back stories of characters we think we know, but really don't, and prominently feature radical Maori-like tattoos. Run to the theaters! Trailers below...

L.A.M.B.

I've been pretty impressed with Gwen Stefani's shoe line over the last few seasons.  I particularly like L.A.M.B.'s  Tammy Open Toe Banded Pump. The style is on trend, but the zippered detail behind the heel gives them edge.  

Gotta love hardware on a shoe.
